10 December 2007
Banjo’s Huonville has been recognised as one of Tasmania’s favourite places to eat out in the inaugural I LOVE FOOD AWARDS launched by pay television channel, The LifeStyle FOOD Channel. Results of Australia’s biggest viewer voted Eat Out Guide were revealed this week, ranking the Huonville Banjo’s store 10th among the Top 15 places to eat out in Tasmania.
LifeStyle FOOD viewers were asked to vote online for their favourite places to eat across a wide range of cuisine styles, product categories and their top favourite places of all. Banjo’s Huonville franchisees Jason Love and Mark Maumill were thrilled with the award results. “We put a great deal of effort into ensuring our customers are delivered top quality, fresh bakery products and great coffee,” said Mr Love. “We hand-bake our products daily on the premises and this award goes to show we have a loyal customer base who enjoy the authentic products we offer in a welcoming café environment.”
Chief Operating Officer David Dilger commented, “This ranking is proof that Banjo’s bakery product remains a favourite with consumers. I believe our success lies in the unique café / bakery experience we offer. We are constantly evolving our products to deliver tasty traditional products with a modern twist.”
The LifeStyle FOOD Channel is Australia’s only television channel totally dedicated to food. Some of the most popular places recognised in the awards will feature in a television series to be hosted by chef and lifestyle presenter Ben O’Donoghue.
