Held in conjunction with Franchise Appreciation Week, the awards are all about business and community recognition for franchising as a major economic and employment generator for Australia.

“The Price Waterhouse Coopers awards program is designed to recognize the outstanding achievements of individuals and organizations in the growth and development of their business and their contributions towards franchising in Australia,” Franchise Council of Australia Chief Executive Officer Richard Evans said.

Nominated by the Banjo’s board, Matt Sly’s Kingston store was named as a state finalist in the awards.  Greg Nathan of Franchise Relationships Institute determined the finalist after performing a comprehensive evaluation using the Franchisee Performance Enhancer.

Chief Operating Officer David Dilger said he was particularly pleased by the announcement as Matt had achieved this recognition ahead of strong opposition.

“Matt’s is a deserving recipient of this accolade.  Under his management the Kingston store continues to grow and perform strongly.  This is as a direct result of his adherence to the franchise system, personal drive and business acumen,” said Mr Dilger.
