David Legro - Chief Executive Officer
David was appointed CEO of Banjos Corporation Pty Ltd on 2 May 2011. David is a Chartered Accountant with a broad business experience across retail, agri-business and manufacturing.
His most recent role as General Manager of Gunns Ltd Retail Division saw him oversee a timber and hardware business with over 250 employees over 9 sites in Tasmania. In this role David was responsible for Marketing, Finance, Procurement, HR and Operations functions.
David is very familiar with the franchise industry having been a franchisee with Mitre 10 for 13 years. He has also developed and grown businesses in the indoor furniture and joinery sectors.
His expertise is in growing businesses and he draws upon his professional training in insolvency and business services to deliver profitable and sustainable business models.
Fil Carluccio - Franchise Operations Manager
Fil has extensive experience at all levels of the Banjo’s business including finance, IT, retail service and baking production. The result is a depth of expertise in the retail aspects of bakery operations. A qualified Workplace Trainer and Assessor, Fil specialises in coordination of work teams, and system development and documentation.
Rod Saxby - Strategic Logistics Manager
Rod knows first-hand the workings of bakery operations – he has operated his own multi-site Banjo’s franchise for over a decade. He provides a valuable insight into the realities of successfully operating a Banjo’s store in accordance with its system. Rod, a qualified Workplace Trainer and Assessor is responsible for the development of bakery systems within the franchise, and bakery staff training.
Justin Roberts - Finance & IT Manager
Justin has tertiary qualifications in both accountancy and IT. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and The Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants. He has worked for French Enterprises Pty Ltd as their Financial Controller and as Division Accountant for various Gunns Ltd’s business units. Most recently Justin has acted as the Managing Director of Ready Computing (Tas), a Tasmanian based IT company.
Karen Colling - HR Adviser
Karen has worked in the training industry for over eight years. She has successfully operated a National Registered Training Organisation. Karen has significant experience in the retail industry, where she has implemented training programs and identified operational based human resource functions for a number of large and small retail businesses.
